My family and I took a ferry to B.I. this weekend. We left our truck at Pt. Judith and the ferry ride was an hour long.
It was a perfect day. The sky was blue and the clouds were fluffy. We swam in the ocean, ate at the local restaraunt, and shopped at the tourist shops. I bought a box of salt water taffy.
Before we left, we took a walk out onto the rocks. The island was lit up with all the shops and restaraunts on the coast. You can see the lights on Block Island at night from misquamicut beach in Westerly, R.I.
A couple walked by us and pointed at the storm clouds rolling in. The man said, "it looks like it's going to rain."
"It looks pretty," I replied.
"Everything on this island is pretty," he said. He was right.
We got lucky, it didn't rain all day. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day. We stayed on the island until 9pm, and then we took the ferry back.
I took alot of pictures of Block Island. Take a look at my photo gallery from Block Island or the slide show version. It's really cool.
