Bloggers are loyal to their software. The software helps with maintanance, and ease of use. Some people want to modify their blogs extensively, while others want it right out of the out of the box. Here is a list of software used by the people on my blogrolling list:
Movable Type: Powerful customization gives you control over everything you publish and the elegant interface keeps things simple and clear.
Blogs: elsiesdomain.com, afrosoft.org, urgo.org
Word Press: WordPress is what you use when you want to work with your blogging software, not fight it.
Blogs: scottious.net, aaltonen.us, ellisd.com, siokaos.org
Live Journal: LiveJournal is a simple-to-use (but extremely powerful and customizable) personal publishing ("blogging") tool, built on open source software.
Blogs: marierose
I like the new look! And, ohhh, that screen. Whenever I see it I marvel at how awesome it is. :-)
Posted by: Elliott at April 30, 2005 12:13 AMI concur, nice screen. However I can't say I'm as fond of what is on it as Elliott would be though. =]

I've virtually abandoned every single blog tool I've tried out, B2, MT, WP. I love my LJ, it's simply a better way to keep in touch with friends.
