Buyer Beware

Last month I purchased tickets through TicketMaster.com. This month I found a suspicious debit on my credit card bill. It was billed as ENTERTAINMNT*REWARDS $9.00. I did not recognize this at all and furthermore why would I pay a rewards program. Who exactly was getting the rewards? I hadn't recieved any rewards...

The first thing I did was google Entertainment Rewards. What a scam! At least I wasn't the only one who was getting ripped off. I found this website, Ripoff Rewards.

I called my credit card company and they called Entertainment Rewards and I spoke to a representative about the charge (this is a monthly fee). She assured me that I had ordered this and even confirmed it with my email address. Well, if I had entered my email address it was only for the purpose of buying tickets.

I still don't know what this Entertainment Rewards is, but it sneaks onto your credit card bill when you purchase tickets through TicketMaster.com. The representative of Entertainment Rewards cancelled my subscription and refunded the $9.00.

Thanks for the tip. I too ordered something from ticketmaster last month. I'll be on the lookout for some bogus charge.

Elsie - I got ripped off by them too and taken for $45 dollars before I realized it (and only after my credit card number had been stolen and I was going through past statements for fraudulent charges). This type of practice must really be stopped. I'm looking to put together people to sue to stop this scam. I think you should be involved because if no one stands up for their rights, we'll continue to be ripped off. Please let me know if you are interested. - Michael

I wish i had money because i would tottaly join in your law suit. for the last TWO MONTHS not only has this group charged me $9, but i had $1 in my bank account and then get charged $30 from them! (Im getting screwed all around!) i hope these people get stoped
