Last Day
Today is my last day working at the help desk. I went to the bookstore to purchase textbooks, and they are not in yet. So, I guess I don't have to read them! I finished my first lab for Operating Systems. Lab 0. Piece of cake. Well, just as easy, but not as sweet. And Monday, I'll start my new job in a whole different room in this building. Now that's sweet!

I don't know how I'll survive this semester. The problem is, I don't have the same interest in my studies. Hopefully that will change once I get into my classes a bit more. I'm sure that each class is fascinating, but without time to study, it seems more frustrating. We'll see.

Tutor
I'm gonna tutor again. Last spring, I tutored a girl in math. She was the neice of my mom's friend. And at the time, she was not doing very good in math. So, I tutored her for a semester. It was fun. She gave me the best compliment ever, too. She said "I wish my teachers were like you".
I didn't tutor her last semester; I guess she made the honor roll. I like to think I really helped her. So, now I'll be tutoring for her cousin on Saturdays. Her aunt must have given me a good recommendation. Finally, something I'm good at!

Time
I would really like some time to myself. Just a little while. I'd like to take an uninterrupted bath. Maybe some recreational reading. I really miss playing my guitar. Well, right now my kids are upstairs playing. But pretty soon they'll come back in here with their dirty little hands and climb on my lap and bang on the keyboard and then run around and throw all the clean laundry on the floor. Hey, I love being a mom. I would just like some time to myself.

Here it is - 2003.
Well, I should make some resolutions. One thing I need to remember is that while I want to do as much as possible, I need to think more realistically. If I take on more than I can handle, I won't do my best.
Of course, I think it's important to keep challanging myself and to do more than what comes easy. If I passed all my classes, I think that I will have a really fun semester in the spring. And I do think that I can work harder this year and be productive.
And look at this cute little piggy...
