February 14th

Ug. I just got a phone call from Chris. Chris is a telemarketer from the Boston Globe. He wanted to know how I was and asked if I was having a nice Valentines Day. I was reluctant, but I responded with "good, thank you" and "ok". He then asked if I was the decision maker in the house. I thought about it for a minute. Then, I said "no". Couldn't he tell that I'm a woman? Of course I don't make any decisions. Jeez!

And I'm not having a nice Valentines Day, but thanks for asking.

Terrific

I'm listening to a book on tape. It's called How to Attract Terrific People. And it's really helped me to see that my friends are really terrific. Ok, so there are many things that can make a person "terrific". People that you love to be around, people that bring out the best in you. And I've been thinking. About all the qualities I admire in the people I know. Even people I don't like.

I've always believed that you can learn something from everyone. But stay away from toxic people. People who critisize you, probably because they are jealous or feel badly about themselves.

I had my second mambo lesson today. It is a terrific change of pace. I'm glad I decided to take social dancing. The homework is fun, too. Free mambo lessons!
