Oh my God this been here all along and I didn't even know it

This is so freaky! I was just reading my blog this morning. I had posted a couple entries that had to do with faith, my lack of religion, my uncertainties about god...

And then I decided to visit Urgo's site. That's cool, I've got a link to it right here where it says POWERED BY URGO.ORG. But when I clicked on it, it brought me HERE. It took me a while to realize that Urgo did not completely transform his website into a religious shrine.

Just because the monitor is off, doesn't mean the cpu isn't working. I'm on powersave mode.

What more can I say? I think this says it all...

It's been a long life

Ever feel like you have lived forever? Like this will never end. It just goes on and on and on... Do you feel alone?

Ask yourself is there a god. Why are we here. And then move on.

Faith

While waiting for the bus, I met a mormon. He said he was from the Church of Jesus Christ. He was well dressed, like a car salesman. He had an accent, said he was from Italy. I am part Italian, too.

I decided to talk with him, even though I have chosen not to follow a religion. His last name was Caruso, I think. I told him my last name. He said it was very common in Italy, like Smith or Brown is here.

So, he wasn't going to be able to find my long lost relatives. But I let him speak. Not only was he dressed like a salesman, he spoke like one, too. He went on and on... I wondered what kind of training program they had for people to do this sort of thing.

He told me about the mormon religion. They do believe in the Bible, but they have another book called The Book of Mormons. I asked him if there were alot of mormons in Italy. He said there are more Catholics. That did not surprise me. I grew up attending a Roman Catholic Church.

He assured me that he was not trying to recruit me in anyway. Finally, he asked me what I though about what he said. I told him that I had friends of many different faiths... Christian, Jewish, Muslim. I don't believe any one religion is correct. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I don't want to belong to a religious group. And I'll keep my beliefs to myself.

Good Old Fashioned Laundry Party

Tonight, I'm having a good old fashioned laundry party. I'm so excited because I really need to wash so much clothes. And put them away - that's the sucky part. But we can have a good old fashioned folding party, and that will be great.

Ok, so I'm still happy because I saw Madonna on Will and Grace Thursday night. And then again on Friday morning on Regis and Kelly. Madonna rocks. I have been a fan since, like, 1983. I remember going to sleep listening to her tapes. When I was little, I used to play her Like A Virgin tape on my Cabbage Patch Kids tape player.

But the real news is, I've registered my new domain name. It is elsiesdomain.org. Elsie is a nickname for Elizabeth. People don't actually call me Elsie, it's more or less my blog nickname. And I'm counting the hits that I get on this site.

There are certain keywords that people search for and find my site. One of the top search hits was www.boner.com. I promise, I do not endorse this site in anyway. I just made a fecetious comment about it ONE TIME. But since it brought more readers to my blog, I thought I'd mention it one more time.

Thank you, Jason, for hosting my site.

Gross

My duties at work include inspecting our equipment rooms. Today, I had a list of rooms to inspect in different buildings. One of the rooms was in the basement. That's ok. I've been in basements around campus before to inspect.

So, I unlocked the door with the big key from the big keyring. I immediately felt the heat rushing at me. It made me think of the boiler rooms from Nightmare on Elmstreet.

I grabbed my equipment bag and turned on the light. What I saw was scarier than Freddy Krugger!!! Well, almost. It was a huge, nasty cockroach! I closed the door and considered my options.

I'm a big girl - I'm not afraid of bugs, I tried to convince myself. And then I thought of those nasty cockroaches crawling on my skin... My hair tickled my neck and I got goosebumps. There is no way I'm going in there.

I called my boss and left a message about the cockroaches. I'll let one of the guys from work inspect this room. Preferebly the one who calls me annoying. What a jerk! lol

Digital Pic

Hello! Well, I really hate pictures of myself. In most pictures of me I am rolling my eyes or blinking or making a stupid face. That's what I see. So I'm just posting a small part of this digital image of myself.

I'm watching you!

Actually, this pic reminds me of some kind of health picture. Glad I'm not smiling.

Dear Reader,

Thanks for being there. I appreciate your comments.

Love,
Elizabeth

XOXO

What could be better than this?

What could be better than homework? Just ask urgo.

Well lots of stuff could be better...

I could be taking a hike, riding my bike (actually scratch that.. its in the shop), visiting you, programming, watching movies, reading books (not text books), driving places, sitting outside watching the clouds in the sky, defragging, watching the grass grow, drinking, ircing, aiming, and much much more. All of those would be more entertaining then writing this paper. =]

Oh well I guess I'll just suck it up and write. =]

I NEED to get at least four more pages done today.

Sorry, urgo. I have to do homework, too. :(

Saturday Morning

It's Saturday morning. Remember when they used to be fun? Sleeping late, watching Saturday morning cartoons...

I'll tutor today, and I'll try to get as much studying done as possible this weekend. I have two tests next week. One in Operating Systems and one in French.

Here I am, trying to study while the kids watch tv.

A Binary Clock

Oh, boring blog... It's good to have you. Whenever I think of writing in my blog, it makes me feel better. Even if I don't actually write in it. Sometimes, I'll think of a blog entry that might be interesting. And then I think, I don't want people to read that, or not everyone needs to know this stuff. But it's good to know that you are there.

Redundacy sucks sucks.

The Weather

It's easy to say what a beautiful day it is. It's true. And it's easy to complain about how much work I have to do. It's true. I mean, do I have to do all the housework? Am I the only one here who knows how to bring the dirty clothes to the laundry room, pay $2.50 to wash and dry a load? Well, I could just say that I have so much homework to do, that I don't think i can finish it. But all those things are boring. And like I said, it's a beautiful day out. So, what are you doing reading this? Get out of the house!!! (unless you are outside, then you are ok to read this)

It feels so good to spend some quiet time alone. Collect my thoughts or something. I'll let you know if I find them all.

This Sucks

It sucks when you can't get anywhere on time and you can't finish anything and you feel like you are not good at anything because you are behind on everything....

Thank god for my friends who keep me sane.

The Weekend

It's Friday! I have had a stressful week, but now it's over. I can finish some homework at my leisure. Right now I'm watching tv and chatting on Yahoo! Instant Messenger. I'm happy. :)
