Sometimes I sit alone at my computer. Sometimes I need to be alone. And yet I still reach out to others, because I blog. My blog is like my journal. I share my thoughts and experiences with you. I encourage your comments, as I want to know what you think. I only ask that you be nice. Please, no bickering. Remember, this is a happy place.
Not only do I blog, but I also enjoy reading blogs. I know that if I type in a search string at Google of something that is on my mind, I will find a blog of someone else who is thinking of that same thing. One day, I was feeling sad. I typed in "I'm sad today", and I found this:
don't know why but i'm sad today
maybe it's cos it's cloudy outside
oh well going to Alton Towers on Friday
tee hee
One more thing I'd like to address is the VMA. Madonna rocks. She performed the opening song with Britney, Christina and Missy Elliott. I did not get to see it yesterday, but I downloaded it today from Kazaa. Thank you, Kazaa!
Ok, last week I saw the Counting Crows in concert at the Meadows Music Theatre. It was awesome. Check out the pics in my photo gallery...
The Counting Crows Concert in Hartford, Ct
Yesterday I dropped Bassel off at Logan Airport. He is flying home to see his family. He will be having an engagement party while he is there, and then return here for the fall sememster. I miss him already.....
Ok. I put a link here for Paypal so that my readers could make a $5 donation. Then, I just waited for the money to roll in. I waited and I waited. The money didn't roll in. Not even a trickle.
As you may know, I will be a full time student in the fall. I will not be working a student job, as I usually do. So, I'll need to find another way to make some dough. What do you think?
Here's my thought... I get about 70 visits to my website per day, 2100 per month. If everyone just donated $5 I could afford to maintain my website and keep my full time student status. Now let's go ppl. What are you waiting for? The fate of elsiesdomain hangs in the balance.
Ok, I understand not many ppl want to fork out $5 to read someone's blog. So, how about I let you hear more of my beautiful singing and guitar playing? Would that be worth a donation?
I have no worries. Tomorrow will be my last day of physics class. After that, and a online homework assingment and a lab, I'll be on vacation until September. That is pretty good news to me.
I've decided not to keep my student job in the fall. I really need to focus on graduating. I know I can do it, if I put my mind to it.
So, here is where the ants come in. I have a terrible ant problem here in my apartment (I call it the ant situation). The kids will not stop feeding them! Whenever anything spills on the floor, I can count on there being a whole army of ants hanging around the kitchen.
This afternoon, I got out of the tub and put on a towel and walked into the kitchen. Of course their were so many ants there, it was disgusting. The kids had ice cream for breakfast this morning, so the ants had a little treat. I knew I couldn't kill them all by stepping on them, so I searched under the sink for something to kill them with.
At first I found some non-toxic kitchen cleaner, called Sun & Earth. The ants would've laughed at me. So I grabbed the toilet bowl cleaner, with the handy angled spout. I squeezed it towards the ants, and they all but melted. Their little bodies fell apart. I hate killing ants, but at least I have something to fall back on in case this computer science thing doesn't work out.
My family and I took a ferry to B.I. this weekend. We left our truck at Pt. Judith and the ferry ride was an hour long.
It was a perfect day. The sky was blue and the clouds were fluffy. We swam in the ocean, ate at the local restaraunt, and shopped at the tourist shops. I bought a box of salt water taffy.
Before we left, we took a walk out onto the rocks. The island was lit up with all the shops and restaraunts on the coast. You can see the lights on Block Island at night from misquamicut beach in Westerly, R.I.
A couple walked by us and pointed at the storm clouds rolling in. The man said, "it looks like it's going to rain."
"It looks pretty," I replied.
"Everything on this island is pretty," he said. He was right.
We got lucky, it didn't rain all day. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day. We stayed on the island until 9pm, and then we took the ferry back.
I took alot of pictures of Block Island. Take a look at my photo gallery from Block Island or the slide show version. It's really cool.
I think my search strings are so funny. It just goes to show that you can find anything you want on the internet. Anything? Anything. And there are people searching for it. Whatever you are looking for, you can find it here. No, not here at elsiesdomain. This is a G-rated site. But there are some real pervs out there. You won't find any boners here. What is a swim boner, anyway? To see my search strings, click on More...

Another long day
I put my children to bed
I watch the sunrise
Yeah, I had a bad day. But there is always tomorrow. It can't get much worse, right?
This is a .wav file of me playing
American Pie. It's short, I recorded it on the Sound Recorder that comes with Windows XP. I love to play the guitar :)
I found the chords to this song here.

Here I am, sitting at my desk. I have a half an hour to go before I can leave work. I can hardly wait. It is finally going to be the weekend! I'd really like to leave now. :( Maybe I'll sneak out a little early. hehe I can't wait to see my kids. I am thinking about bringing them to see the new Spy Kids movie in 3-D. That would be so much fun.
I have been playing around with the colors on my blog. I really like the red white and blue, primary color scheme. I'm sure I'll change it soon enough. I have to save the different stylesheets as I edit them. Just in case I want to reuse one.
Oh, I had my physics midterm yesterday, and it really lifted my spirits. It was kinda easy - compared to the homework assignments. Now all I have to do is keep up with the homeworks and the lab reports for another 3 weeks, ace the final, and I'm done!
