Wishlist

Amy, El and I made Chinese fortune cookies this past weekend. Nothing is better than sugar, vanilla, egg whites and butter. Yummy yummy. The cookies were good, too.
Here are some bad fortunes. Of course we only used nice fortunes, but these are funny. And everyone knows that after you read your fortune you have to either say "in bed" or "with your mother." It's just more fun that way.
Oh, man. I saw the nicest electronics at Best Buy this weekend (Best Buy just opened a new branch in Hadley). On my wishlist is a giant plasma screen tv, a tiny Sony Notebook, and a flatscreen computer monitor. *sigh*
I saw this little sony laptop. Weighs less than 4 lbs. Beautiful screen. Fits on the little desks at school, you know? $1500. I guess I'd better file my taxes... he he SOON. I really want a small laptop. Cause some kids bring theirs in to class. And my laptop is huge, heavy and I don't like it.
Oooh I made $1.10 today :-) from my blog. SWEET. I'm up to $10.43 Yeah baby. A few more months, and I might get a check! I'm telling you! That will be so great!
Do you know the song "Look What You've Done" by Jet? I'll post the lyrics. It's nice. I should download it sometime. ;-) Better start now if I want to listen to it by tomorrow. hehe

"Look What You've Done"

Take my photo off the wall
If it just won't sing for you
'Cause all that's left has gone away
And there's nothing there for you to prove

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Give me back my point of view
'Cause I just can't think for you
I can hardly hear you say
What should I do, well you choose

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
A fool of everyone
A fool of everyone

Take my photo off the wall
If it just won't sing for you
'Cause all that's left has gone away
And there's nothing there for you to do

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
A fool of everyone
A fool of everyone

A Good Day

I have a homework assignment that's due tomorrow. I'm going to do it at the library later. Hopefully there will be less distractions there. I guess I'd better turn off my cell phone, too. I have the best ringtones ever: Drop it Like it's Hot, 1-2 Step, Every Little Thing She Does is Magic. I'd buy more, but they cost $1.99 each.

Have a good day!

A Long Weekend

Woo-hoo! Today begins a long weekend. Monday will be president's day. :) So I noticed today that Google Adsense does place relevant ads on my site. For my archives, each ad selection is different. So I wonder how sensitive Google Adsense is to content change. Someone recommended that I try placing car insurance ads on the site. So, if I blog about my car insurance and about how expensive it is will the ads change accordingly? I mean, it really is expensive. CAR INSURANCE is EXPENSIVE!!!

#1

Merriam-Webster's Words of the Year 2004

#1 Blog noun [short for Weblog] (1999) : a Web site that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments, and often hyperlinks provided by the writer.

I first heard the word "blog" in the summer of 2002. That's when I began blogging, and I haven't stopped since. It did seem strange at first. Now I really enjoy it. I wish I had some more creative ideas here. I've read some really interesting blogs. I'd like to link to more blogs. And maybe increase the traffic to my site.

Sunshiny Day

Today was a delightful sunny day. I went to the zoo with Ellie and the kids. The kids and I had our picture taken with a really big snake! The guy placed the snake over my shoulders and it draped down to where Emily held the head and Matt held the tail. I was a little scared. There were some rides for the kids, too. And a lot of other animals to feed, including ponies and sheep.

AdSense

Today, I add Google AdSense to my blog. This is very exciting! I have to change the type of ads that are being displayed though. I'd also like to try different display boxes. I like the one I have, though. Now my blog feels professional. Too bad for me, though because I don't have much to say...

That's not exactly true. Let's see... school is going well. I'll be using Ethereal for my Networks class, which I hear is a very nice program. I can't use it from my place because I'm stuck using campus dial-up. I'm so jealous of the kids in the dorm. They have high-speed ethernet connections....

Sigh.
