Get to the Punchline

While Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, the Government is sound asleep, the People are being ignored and the Future is in deep shit.

You Make the Whole World Cry

TANITA TIKARAM: "You Make The Whole World Cry"

Young thing - saw it
And calls his brother
And brother's angry
You make the whole world cry

You can't tell me
I rid my secret
You can't own me
You make the whole world cry

Young thing downing
And it may be hurting
And it may be the best day you ever had

And I've gone courting
And I'm just chasing

But baby, you make the whole world cry
Yes, you make the world cry
I tell you honestly
Yeah, I tell you honestly

So we go dancing
And you start laughing
And I start choosing
A room to hide in

But I'm not hiding
And I'm not running, anymore

so it's so good
And it's so bad
And it's walk
To the end of you're so sure of yourself

Baby you make the whole world cry
Yeah, you make the whole world cry
Yeah, you make the whole world cry
Yeah, you make the whole world cry, cry, cry, cry
Cry, cry, cry, cry, cry, cry, cry, cry

Cheap Tapes, Good Buys

I miss playing the guitar. I have no time for it. Hopefully soon I can schedule time to give Emily some lessons but I'll have to get new lightweight strings first.

I bought some tapes at the Dollar Tree. They sell everything for a dollar, so when I saw a huge table of cassette tapes I thought it would be cool to buy some. Even if I bought ten of them, it would only cost $10. So I grabbed a bunch of them that had cool covers. To my surprise, the cashier rang them up at 10 cents each.

Perhaps these recording artists don't have huge label companies, I thought. I liked the idea of buying albums that weren't over-produced. One tape I was cautious to buy, titled Eleven Kinds of Loneliness is very GOOD. Tanita Tikaram totally rocks. Listening to her makes me want to make music myself. Maybe someday.

If i ever

What do you do for fun? what do you do when you want fun days?
I could be just anyone I'm happy to smile and mad on mondays
The world is a better place now every time I see your face

If I ever ever get through to you if I ever ever get through to you
If I ever ever get through to you if I ever ever get through to you

Everytime I hear your voice everytime I feel you're near to me
Will you ever make a choice will you ever be that real for me?
The friendship feeling's fine I just want you to be mine

if I ever ever get through to you if I ever ever get through to you
if I ever ever get through to you if I ever ever get through to you

He comes alive, she comes alive, he comes alive, she comes alive
He comes alive, she comes alive, he comes alive, she comes alive

You can make a madman sane you can make the winters warm again
Promise me you'll never change promise me you'll always stay the same
Cos the world is a better place now every time I see your face

If I ever ever get through to you
If I ever ever get through to you if I ever ever get through to you
If I ever ever get through to you if I ever ever get through to you
If I ever ever get through to you if I ever ever get through to you

If we ever get together we can always make it better
If we ever get together we can always make it better

Least Favorite Song

Emily found the song on my iPod which is my least favorite. But when she sang along, I realized it's a good song.

Come With Me
by Raindancer

Lights in the distance
Showing me the way I'd forgotten
I've gone too far in confusion
I've been lost

It may take some time
But I know that somehow I will get
To my destination

Now I'm leaving it all behind
I don't know what it is I expect to find
But I'll always want you here by my side

Come with me now

Changing direction
Following my guiding intuition
I've gone too far in confusion
I've been lost

Now I'm leaving it all behind

Over and over
I said tomorrow takes me home
Over and over
I found myself still astray
